What is that one thing that comes to mind when you think of Lucknow?

Food. Cuisine. Kebabs. Right?

But besides this, the city is famous for its innumerable monuments and the Mughal architectural touch.

Gautam Buddha Park is one of the most attractive sites to visit in Lucknow. Replete with fountains, lampposts, benches, railings, aesthetically constructed landscaped gardens, a variety of plants, and numerous modest statues, it is a place you can enjoy the entire day. The park is a favorite hangout for locals and tourists, providing a wide range of leisure activities.

#Trivia: The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) used 10 acres to create this stunning park in 1980.

About the Gautam Buddha Park

On one side of the Daliganj Railway Bridge, next to Hathi Park, is a medium-sized park called Gautam Buddha Park (often referred to as Buddha Park). Since its establishment in 1980, the park has served as a key component of Lucknow's tourism industry.

The park is a pleasant evening tourist destination in Lucknow to escape the oppressive summer heat. It is situated in Hasanganj, close to Bara Imambara.

#Trivia: The park's highlight is the enormous Buddha statue carved in marble.

You won't even notice that you are in the busy city of Lucknow because of all the lush vegetation in the park. The entire area is dotted with lampposts, kiddie rides and swings, and a water pool nearby.

With its tranquil setting and elegance, it exudes a quiet aura.

Things to do at Gautam Buddha Park

Only two locations in Lucknow provide paddle boating, with Gautam Buddha Park being one of them. An artificial 4-by-200-meter loop canal is available for paddle boating in Gautam Buddha Park. The boat ride through three bridges in this park, reminiscent of Venice, is one of the top things to do in Gautam Buddha Park.

The park's two mountain-shaped artificial bumps and the plain area covered in lush green grass make it a pleasant place to spend time with friends, family, or children.

This well-known tourist destination in Lucknow has kiddie rides and gorgeous foliage. There is a small park nearby with three to four rides.

The only location in Lucknow city where one can ride electric swings all year round is Gautam Buddha Park. On certain swings, anyone can ride, whereas others are only for children under 12.

In particular, Gautam Buddha Park is a great location for picnics and day trips with friends and families during the winter months. The park has plenty of room for children to play, adults to stroll, and seniors to practice yoga and meditate.

Entry fee and timings of Gautam Buddha Park

You have to pay INR 5 to enter the park. Paddle boating requires an individual to pay INR 10. The cost is INR 25 per boat if you wish to paddle a boat for an hour.

You must pay INR 10 per person to use the Electric Power Swings. With this charge, you can enjoy this swing for roughly 10 minutes.
